kids shouldn’t have to be worrying the whole school day that someone will shoot them. kids shouldn’t have to be terrified when someone jokes about their school being shot up. kids shouldn’t have to make a plan to escape their school after a threat.

kids shouldn’t only be cared about when they become headlines.

I agree; media has fanned this frenzy to the point where an irrational fear based on a statistically unlikely event has young people in a genuine panic.
