18 years ago. I was in first grade. And our school decided to do a “Millennium Walkway.” At the time, there was a pinball game for the computer I was obsessed with. So I made a little goblin man from the game.

Embarrassed by my reference to a video game, I told my parents, friends, and teachers that it was the Michigan State University mascot, Sparty.

But today, dear reader, the truth comes out.

Today, I end a lie 18 years in the making. It was a goblin.

So they put up a fence around the school and are beginning demolition July 6th. So I now know what I must do.

Steal the goblin?

Ask politely if I can take it tomorrow. I have safety gear so it shouldn’t be an issue.
