TIL that a single Finnish man hid in the Finland forests during WW2 and killed over 500 Soviets in less than 100 days. He was nicknamed “White Death” by the Soviets and they focused missions entirely on him.

you’re right, Finland should have let themselves be invaded and subjugated by the soviet military lest they be called racist 70 years after the fact

Germany never really got super involved in Finland outside of weapon shipments either, it was mostly a way to sell off old stocks of tanks and planes with an “enemy of my enemy is my friend” view on the whole situation. Germany only saw them as a potential distraction for the Soviets and nothing more.
