My friend in the UK told me that they only see their father like 2-3 times a year because they live so far away. When I asked how far do they live, they said that it’s a 45 minute drive……. my commute to work, five days a week is an hour.

I drove 8 hours one way almost every weekend for 8 months when I was first dating my wife just to see her for 24 hours before going back to work.

Honestly, I just like driving long distances. Sometimes we drive 2 hours just to see the ocean or be in the trees.
