Look, by itself, the Maryland flag /can/ be called busy and a bit too complicated
But compared to the government seal with intricate writing and blue backgrounds of like 60% of the states, it’s unique and refreshing to look at
Also that cursed version with straight black and yellow lines actually proves my theory that the MD flag’s business is what makes it great. Straightening out those lines makes it bland and forgettable, but the zigzag shapes make it interesting
