There are a lot of times I feel like just…flipping the vegan script.
It’s not ‘polyester’ it’s plastic
It’s not ‘vegan leather’ it’s plastic
Its not ‘faux fur’ it’s plastic
Plastic is a pollutant and causes far more damage to the environment both now and in the future than leather or wool.
Please stop telling me that the Plastic Lyfe is the only life, it is not. My leather shoes will last a decade where pleather is lucky to last 12 months. Leather (and wool) decompose and are renewable. Plastic is neither of those.

Wool is the most environmentally friendly fabric despite being an animal product.
Using wool isnt even harming sheep
Wool in different weights is also one of the best fabrics for different climates and if woven tightly water resistant. Which in turn means no harmful waterproofers needed on the cloth. Unless it’s something like bees wax. But felted is basically one of the best fabrics for cold weather. It self regulates temperature. Plastic? You bake in plastic. Even the lightweight stuff. I’ve worn full Elizabethan clothing in Florida and the worst bit was the poly brocade doublet. The wool dress and linen shift kept me cool.
A good farmer and this is most farmers do NOT harm their sheep shearing them and it benefits the sheep. So what would you have? An irreparably damaged planet full of plastic? Or happy sheep and decent cloth that won’t pollute once finished with?
Like everything sometimes humans take shit too far like can we even talk about some vegans not eating honey like the bees are dying and they think eating honey is a bad thing! It’s NOT! some animal products actually are better for then the environment than their substitute SOY is actually an environmental destroyer!
Like I actually have nothing against vegans but some of them are so arrgoant while doing things they are doing things that are even worse for the planet!
I’ve got to say, though, The Touhou Boom™ and even nowadays the Touhou fandom itself is probably still unmatched for the sheer amount of raw talent and effort put into all the fanworks around it. It was and is insane, I don’t think we’ll ever see its like again.

Anything ever being at the top of this list over Touhou will be like the moon outshining the sun from the other end of the horizon
oh god this is just scratching the surface too, this isn’t even including music. you could look up an arrange in virtually any genre you can think of
Exactly, like half of old Youtube was Touhou, 80% of NicoNico was Touhou, Everything was Touhou, even this much time later it’s almost guaranteed someone’s at least seen one meme about it even if was applied to another series after the fact. It was like a fucking renaissance based around one series.
Touhou is something everybody (who wasn’t born prior to the late 80s, ay least) heard about in some form. Art, game, music, even in random moments like that one time a ‘please wait warmly’ intermission screen was shown on an NZ news segment back in about 2009, which was the first time I ever heard of touhou because I’d been absolutely baffled by the cartoonish picture on the news.
Despite having never played any touhou games and knowing very little overall, touhou has nonetheless left quite a big impact on my time on the Internet.
