Mongolians are cool because they’ve merged their traditional and modern ways of life so rather than having poverty due to losing all their important skills they just live in their yurts with their cows and 827474874mbs internet

sure their GDP in dollars is low but when you can survive like your anscestors did it doesn’t mean anything, nothing wrong with adding a motorcycle and wifi into the mix

Everyone should live like their ancestors did 1000 years ago but with the addition of wifi tbh

Adapt. Survive.

Imagine Ghengis Khan seeing this shit.  Sumbitch would love that shit.

Maybe medieval people happened upon a T-Rex fossil and came to a relatively logical conclusion that dragons existed.

I’ve read a couple books on this actually, thats exactly what happened. Also cyclops are from looking at bones from a certain type of baby elephant. The giant note hole and tiny eyes made it look like a single eye.

Yep, can confirm! And what’s even funnier to me is that back in the dark ages, Greek people used to find a lot of prehistoric bear skeletons – and those look exactly like human skeletons, except they’re like eight feet tall or something – so they naturally assumed those were the heroes of legend, and made armour and clothes for them and reburied them with the most splendid and sacred religious ceremonies they could think of? Fast forward five centuries, Athens’ all modern and rational, philosophers and scientists aren’t taking any shit from anyone – but the problem is, people will randomly find graves containing giant-ass warriors, so that’s something that can’t be explained away and yeah, demigods were a thing and yeah, they used to be eight feet tall and sorry I don’t make the rules.

gunsandgunquestions:

Alright, sadly its that time again where every gunblr blog is hot on the heels of dipshit fandom blogs who are talking about stuff they know absolutely nothing about. Yes, courtesy of this new shooting, every John, Jane and Susan are pretending they really care about gun control when in reality they know jack shit outside of what CNN or some other news agency tells them.

Now, I’m not gonna try to chase down said John, Jane and Susan’s like other blogs on this site, because that gets old as hell both for you to scroll through and for me to write. But, I’ve noticed a recurring meme with the past few mass shootings, in which numbers get dropped on how many have occurred in the US. So I decided to do some digging and found this.

https://www.gunviolencearchive.org/mass-shooting?sort=asc&order=State

This is the sauce behind those claims, and it’s one of the most bullshit line ups I’ve ever seen. Now, not in HOW it gets the shootings because it does a fairly good job in sourcing out actual events and providing people with said source. But there’s 2 big problems with it.

1: Most of these aren’t actual mass shootings, which I can more blame with how lax people have been interpreting a mass shooting in recent years but it still is disingenuous as hell. For the most part, the page will be a sea of stuff like “0 dead, 2-5 injured”. Nothing good but placing it on the same tier as a large shooting like Parkland just comes off as desperate to prop up the numbers.

2: A TON of the shootings are in major cities and are gang violence related. You can tell mostly by the fact they’re always in specific locations. Let me give an example. Hitting the “city or county” tab, this is what I found.

Chicago, the city with some of the tightest gun control in the world, takes up a solid 5 ½ pages. St. Louis takes up 2. California takes up 8 ½ and it’s hard to get an exact estimate for LA given they break this up by the districts in a city. Same for NYC.

So as a test of my theory, I went through ALL of this years incidents and did them based off a specific ruling. It has to be a proper mass shooting of 4 or more fatalities, not some isolated gang fight where no one died. By doing that, the ludicrous numbers I’ve seen go from 232~  all the way down to 8.

8. Fucking 8. In all of 2018. All I did was simply put a standard on it. If I dropped it down to 3 then it would’ve been 15~ and that would be including a lot of gang shootings and plain murder-suicides. That’s how they’re selling these overinflated numbers to people, by just chalking up everything as a mass shooting. Don’t take anything people post as “hard evidence” on this shooting at face value, don’t give your rights over to a bunch of screaming children who will stop caring about this by September and stick to double checking every source possible for those bullshit statistics they bring out.

Lol y’all could only get 40 people together?

Perhaps trying to emulate a civil rights march whilst supporting systematic racism and the degradation of civil rights leaves a pretty bad taste in people’s mouths.

“Activists across Massachusetts” the entire state can be driven across in three hours barring traffic.  “Fifty miles” is half the north-south dimension of the state.

And to protest probably the second largest American civilian gun company, you get forty middle class white kids to beg to be disarmed.  Except for Pawpaw’s .375 H&H, because that five thousand dollar safari double rifle is perfectly fine.
